Thought From James
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
It's a powerful verse isn't it? I was reading on someone's blog recently about how it doesn't say everyone should adopt, but that it's God's desire that all should help CARE for the orphan and the widow. We both have been called to adopt, and others may not be called to do the same thing, but they are asked to help... whether it's donating funds to help someone with their adoption expenses, becoming a big brother or sister to a child here without parents, traveling to another country and volunteering admist the orhpans and widows, etc. etc. It's so easy to read the Bible and miss out on all the places that God is inviting us to join him. I think I'm starting to ramble! Anyway, I hope you're having a good week! :D
