Still Seizure Free!

After 4 days, we are still seizure free!! Ruby has been very fussy, but she was in a better mood tonight; it was fun to see her giggling and active. Neurology scheduled an EEG on Dec 21 to make sure the seizures are gone for real. If all looks good on the EEG, then we will stay at this dose for probably another month after that, so we could be on ACTH for 2 more months yet. This sounds like a long time, but this will be the last time we do steroids, so we want to do all we can to keep the seizures away. She did gain a pound in the last week; I am dreading the weight gain again, but it is worth if if the seizures stay controlled. Thanks for your prayers!

By the way-- we had a great Thanksgiving. My husband cooked a 21 lb turkey for my family, his parents and some of my extended family. He did a fantastic job! He has earned the right to cook the turkey every year. Mark's parents were here over the weekend and we had a great time catching up with them. They spoiled us and the kids-- we really appreciate them! I have pictures of the turkey and the kids with grandpa and grandma that I will try to post soon.
