The Turkey

As I mentioned before, Mark made the Thanksgiving turkey this year. After weeks of conversation, my mom decided to let go of the turkey making this year and let Mark have a stab at it. He researched recipes and decided to brine his 21 lb turkey, using a recipe from Emeril Lagasse. It soaked in the brine for 24 hours on Wed and then Thursday morning he got up at 5:30am to stuff and cook the turkey. We woke up to a delicious smell of the turkey cooking Thanksgiving morning. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical, but Mark pulled it off. His turkey was fantastic! My mom even said that now he has to cook the turkey every year. :)
