Still Plugging Away

We met with our social worker Friday and most of our paperwork looked pretty good. There was one thing we had to redo but it was not a big deal. Next, we have to get a state seal put on all of our documents. This means we have to send our birth certificates back to the states where we were born, they will put a seal on them and then send them back to us. This process will take a few weeks. Also, we are still waiting for our immigration papers to come back for a second time because we had to change the name of the country we were adopting from. When we get everything back and sealed, we will have the Bethany in Grand Rapids go over the papers to make sure they are okay and then they will get sent to Ethiopia.

So, we were hoping we could send the papers an a week or two, but it looks like it might be three or four. We are just trying to be patient and tackle one deadline at a time. You can pray the immigration papers come back again quickly.

God is good and so is His timing. Mark and I are so excited to have a baby in our family, but we are also content in where God has put us in life right now. We are trying to anticipate what is ahead without missing where we are now.
