We have had a good couple of days at home with Ruby. She has had about the same amount of seizures so far, but she hasn't even been on the diet for a week yet so we weren't expecting things to change this fast. She does seem more alert and awake which is a positive sign. We have also seen a few more smiles and heard more coos so hopefully that will continue. Physical therapy yesterday went great but today she was tired and a little cranky during therapy- it was right during her nap time so I would probably be cranky too :) Her neurologist said we could start weaning her off Klonopin (another seizure med). I am very excited about this because then, if all goes well, she will only be on one med for her seizures! I want to see what she can do without all the drugs in her system.
I am feeling pretty good the last couple of days. I have been able to control the contractions with rest, fluids and restricted activity. I think they were worst last week when Ruby was in the hospital; maybe stress and lack of sleep played a part in that. I am in week 35 of my pregnancy so hopefully we can continue to hold things off for at least a few more weeks. Again, Mark has really done most of the work at home so that I can just relax; that has helped a lot. We also have had great help from family and friends.
Ruby is taking a nap and I think I might go join her :) Thanks for the prayers!

Happy to hear that Miss Ruby is looking more alert and that you are weaning her off another med. :) Hopefully you can start to see some changes in the seizures activity soon. :)
Also happy to hear you are feeling ok. Can you believe in just a few more weeks, you will be a mommy to two. What a blessing!

thank you for being so faithful in your updates kelli! It is so nice to know what is going on with Ruby (and her parents) always praying, Sarah
I hope she keeps doing well! Mark doing most of the work at home? You have NO idea how strange that sounds to me!!
Yay for going off another med soon! Naps, GREAT idea. Keep those on the top of your list! Hope baby TH stays put for a while longer to grow and get strong and healthy.
Hoping for some results within the next couple weeks, and YAY for being able to do away with another med! :) Ellie was born at 35 weeks.... you're in the home stretch now!
Thanks for the update! We're still praying for this diet to work. I'm glad to hear that you're trying to take it easy and that you're going to nap! Take care of #2. :) Love you guys!
Oh, you are in a tough season right now. Taking care of one little blessing, while getting ready to add another one so soon. Exciting stuff, but I am sure it is exhausting and overwhelming at times.
Yes!!! Go take that nap!
