ACTH ???
We are in the middle of trying to decide if we should put Ruby back on ACTH or not. These are the nasty steroids that she was on last spring. They are the only meds that have ever stopped her seizures, but unfortunately they come with some tough side effects (weight gain, insomnia, extreme fussiness, possible infection and high blood pressure...etc). We feel like doing another round of them is really our only medical option left right now. Although there is only a slim chance the seizures will stay completely gone after the steroids, there still is a chance. It is tough to know if we should put her through this again.... If anyone has any opinions or experiences with this feel free to post! We are searching hard for wisdom for the next step.

Kelli, you guys are in such a tough spot. I wish I had the knowledge to give you some bit of advice... but I have nothing... only that I'm praying for you.. that God would give you wisdom and peace.
Just want you to know that I pray for you guys every day! I can't imagine what tough decisions you have and I have no advice. But my thoughts and prayers are with you and I truly believe you will do what's best for Ruby--even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. I wish we lived closer to help you guys out. If you ever need a date to the twin cities, we'll take the kids! haha :)
