Mommy Friends

Friends are such a blessing. I just got back from a play date with some other moms and I feel refreshed. It is great to let my kids interact with other kids while I sip Diet Coke and catch up on who got kicked off Biggest Loser this past week. Well, to be honest, usually at these play dates I am running after Charlie to make sure he isn't playing in the toilet, but often I have a Diet Coke in my hand :) There is something refreshing about knowing other women out there are going through similar things as you. They also have kids that love chicken patties one day and then refuse them the next. Their kids make excited screaming noises a lot too! They too sometimes feel lonely being at home most of the time. Don't get me wrong, I love being a mom, but getting out of the house every week to socialize is theraputic. I don't know what I would do without these wonderful, encouraging, Christ following women in my lives!
