Pictures

A few glimpses of the last couple of days:

Lunch yesterday at a tiny little Italian place; the food was great but I wouldn't eat off the floors :)

Mark practicing his ABR techniques on Ruby's trainer.

Ruby waiting patiently for her turn to get worked on while we practiced ABR on each other.

Mark doing some ABR work on Ruby's chest; she handles it well, especially when we get to hold her to do it. I did do some work too, but I usually have the camera so the photos are of Mark working.

After lunch at a nice little Mexican restaraunt with our new friends, we visited Olympic Park where we saw the Olymipic stadiums from the '76 summer olympics. The stadium was huge.

One of the old stadiums was converted into a biodome, or indoor zoo type place where several habitats were created and you can walk through them. It was really neat. I especially like watching the peguins.

The biodome gives special needs kids one free adult pass so Mark and I only had to pay for one ticket, which was nice.

After the biodome tour, we rode to the top of the tower above the stadium in a gondola type car. From the top we could see the whole city of Montreal; the view was beautiful because it was a clear day.

By the time we were done with all of this, Ruby was hungry and tired. So, after battling traffic for a little while and making a stop at a grocery store, we headed back to the hotel to crash. She fought going to bed tonight, probably because she is overtired, but now she is asleep-- hopefully for the night.

It was a good day again. I am looking forward to getting more exercises to use on Ruby tomorrow and practicing to make our technique better. We are having a great time, but I will be ready to go home; I miss Charlie :) For now though, we will focus on enjoying our time away and working on learning ABR as best we can before we go home.

I just looked at these again and almost cried at the pic of Mark with Ruby- the look of intensity on his face while he learns the moves moved me. You and Mark are amazing parents, God bless you for finding this therapy and being willing to do this hard work for her!
