Update

Sorry a week has passed since the last post! We have been busy over here!

Mark's parents came from MN last Friday for a long weekend. We had a great time with them.  To make things less stressful, we decided to take a break from Ruby's therapy while they were here. I don't like missing her therapy, but I have to admit it made things much more flexible and I appreciated the break.  We were able to enjoy pizza at Mike (Mark's brother) and Jess' house in Grand Rapids on Friday night, a long afternoon at the beach and dinner at our house on Saturday, lunch at Mike and Jess' on Sunday and then golfing and the zoo on Monday.  So, it was a packed weekend, but we had a lot of fun. I wasn't sure how it was all going to go, but the kids did great at the beach and the zoo. They both love the water and Charlie really liked running around at the zoo, watching the chimpanzees and petting the goats.  Dad and Mom TH-Thanks for making the trip up to MI!!
I will try to post pictures soon.

Ruby update-- She had a pretty good weekend and then the first couple days of this week were a little rough. She hasn't been sleeping great and her neurofeedback numbers have been high. Thankfully she hasn't had one of those new seizures for a week now, so we are hoping they stay away for good.  If she only has a couple of them a month then we probably won't try a new med; right now we are just waiting and watching her to see what happens.

She does seem to be getting a little stronger with ABR and we can see some structural changes in her chest and abs.  We go to Chicago in a few weeks for more ABR training; we are anxious to see what the trainers have to say about how she has changed. I am hoping they will notice good things and then give us new exercises to work on for the next few months.  We haven't seen a lot of functional changes yet, but we are confident that if her body structure continues to change and improve then she will have functional changes, but it may take a lot of time. At this point, we have learned to be very patient when it comes to Ruby's progress.

Thanks for your continued prayers; we continue to find joy in small things and try to take one day at a time.  God is good.
