This is Mark (Kelli's husband) and I think this is the first time I have every posted on this blog- kinda exciting. My announcement is that tomorrow (April 15th) is Kelli's 31st birthday! That is the good news, the bad news is that I really stinks at giving gifts so I am asking all of you for help.
Kelli's family has a cool tradition that during a birthday celebration we all say something that we appreciate about that person we are celebrating. It is a neat time to get a little serious and remind that person why they are special and unique to our family- something we plan to do with our family for years to come. I would like to ask all of you to do that for Kelli on her birthday this year. If you are reading this post, I would ask that you leave a comment for Kelli about what you think is special about her. It can be anything.....long/short, anonymous or not, generic/specific- just something that you appreciate about her. Even if you only know Kelli through this blog I think you know her well enough to say something about her. This blog is special to her and I thank you all for reading it. You are really helping out on this one.....I will get the ball rolling first.
Kelli- When I think of all the things I could say to you, they all seem to circle back to the same thing- your constant passion to live Christ-Like. Whether through taking care of our kids, getting up early for devotions, baking cookies for a neighbor etc.... it is always centered on bringing you and the rest of this family closer to God. I can only simply say...Thank you.
P.S. We are not pregnant.

I've been a lurker since Ruby first came into your lives. I think Kelli is one of the least selfish people I've ever "known." I am constantly amazed at how she puts everyone else first. Happy birthday, Kelli, and many, many more. From Bonny in New Mexico.

Well, what could I even say that has not been said. When Mark was a little boy, I began praying for God to be busy in the life of some little girl, preparing her to be his wife and our daughter-in-law. How very faithful He is!! You are Mark's wonderful wife, and patient, loving mother to our grandkids, our daughter-in-law, but also, my friend. Not too many moms-in-law can say that and I say it with assurance of the love between us. Thanks for being who you are and thanks for sharing your birthday weekend with me. I loved every minute of it!!
Love Always, Mom
Mark........Great idea! Wish I had thought of it!! :-)
Kelli...Happy Birthday! I so admire you for your passion in all you do. You pour yourself into what you are called to: kids, husband, teaching, etc. I am blessed to have you as a friend.
Happy Birthday Kelli!
