Florida Here I Come!

Tomorrow morning I am heading to Fort Myers, with my Mom in law, for a long weekend! Mark has earned some travel vouchers  through work and he is graciously using them to send me away for a weekend in the sun. I am so excited to sleep and read in the sun!

On another note, a few kid updates...

After a couple months of ear infections, Tabatha got tubes in her ears last week. The procedure was quick and easy and she is much happier. Her sleep has also been better which I am very thankful for.  She did happen to pull out Ruby's feeding tube for the SECOND time on Sunday night, but that is a story for another post :)

Charlie is in the middle of neurofeedback treatments for some ADHD concerns we were having with him. We are very encouraged with the changes we have seen so far! He seems calmer and more focused and we believe neurofeedback is really going to help him. Adding three appointment of neurofeedback to our schedule each week has been a little bit of a challenge, but if these changes stick it will be more than worth it!

Ruby is content and alert lately. Emily and I were just commenting on how strong she is getting. ABR continues to slowly change and normalize her body.  We look forward to seeing more progress. Her trainers in Montreal will be able to give us a thorough report on the changes they see when we go for more training at the end of May.  She has also been making so much noise! She is vocalizing much more than she used to and we are thrilled that she has found her voice. At this point, the noises don't have meaning, but she does seem to try to "holler" back and forth with us when we play with her.  We love this interaction.

Say a prayer for Mark as he has all three kids by himself all weekend. He is MORE than capable, but he may be ready for a night away by the time I get home :)  He is such a trooper to take the kids so I can have a vacation!

Have a great weekend!
