A Little Update

After a lot of digging and calling we finally got a little information. Ruby is still in the hospital, but she is doing better and hopefully will be back at the orphanage tomorrow or Sunday. She has some type of fungus; we really don't know what this means, but at least we know something! It doesn't sound too serious, but she probably had to be treated with antibiotics which they would do at the hospital. We know that once she is out of the hospital things can move quickly. We are hoping she can get her passport and physical early next week so by the end of the week we will know when we can travel. Another Bethany family is traveling on Aug. 29, so maybe we could travel with them. I would love to go sooner than that, but it would be great to travel with another family too; we will see what happens.

Thanks for all your prayers. I have been a wreck today so I needed them. It was really good to find something out so that we don't have to go the whole weekend thinking the worst.

Have a great weekend; we will let you know when we know more!

Hey Kel, when Alli was going into surgery in Mexico our small group came over and we prayed together. The consistent theme was God can take care of her a lot better than can we. It was one of those times when God was asking, "Do you trust me?" Don't give the devil that foothold of worry. Trust that Great Physician who has it all under control. Praying for ya, Mark and little Ruby!

Actually it seemed that quite a few babies and kids in ET had "fungus" and it did indeed clear up on each of these kids. I hope Ruby bounces back to health quickly and you'll be able to get that embassy appointment...
