We have nothing new to share about Ruby. I thought for sure by now I would have heard something. I am trying to stay really busy so I don't think about it so much and get down. I have worked at school in the media center the last two mornings. Today I completed my last afternoon of tutoring and tonight our small group from church came over for dessert. We love hanging out with them and it is good to spend a little time praying together for Ruby and other things that are going on in all of our lives. Tomorrow I will be at school again for a few hours and then my mom and I are going to freeze sweet corn; I have never done this before but my husband LOVES sweet corn so I thought it would be fun to have some in the middle of winter. Tomorrow night I have a meeting at church. Thursday afternoon we are leaving to go to a cottage up north with our small group; we will be there until Sunday.
It really helps to have the next couple of days booked. The last two weeks I had too much time on my hands and I was going nuts thinking about Ruby. For a little while I didn't plan much because I thought we would be going to Africa any day; now I am thinking that maybe we won't be traveling for awhile... who knows. I still need to do normal life while I hope a trip to Ethiopia makes me cancel all my plans. We keep hoping to hear something soon and we will post as soon as we do. Thanks for your prayers.

I'm so sorry that you haven't heard any news about travelling yet. We are still praying that God will open the doors for you and Mark and Ruby to be united!
I froze about 200 ears this year. Big job, but worth it. Still praying...
Still praying for ya!
oh kelli- i am glad you have some fun things planned to keep you busy, that sounds like the best strategy!
I do hope that you will hear word soon. :( I wanted to tell you that I appreciate your attitude and your faith in God. Even though it's obvious you have the pain of wanting to go right now to get Ruby, you don't complain and that is refreshing! Enjoy time with your family and friends and before you know it, you'll be flying over the Atlantic.
We're thinking about all of you guys a lot!
I am so frustrated for you! Sorry that you still haven't heard anything...what a bummer. But I agree that having something to do is actually SO INCREDIBLY helpful! We're still just at the initial waiting phase, but I like to have things planned to keep us busy and having fun enjoying the wonderful people in our lives...even while we wait to find out about our baby girl. Hoping you hear something soon!
