We met with our social worker today and we got a small update about Ruby. She is still out of the hospital, but she is pretty weak yet. The medical person at the orphanage wants her to get stronger before our contact in Ethiopia takes her out and about to get her passport and physical at the embassy. So, we are still on hold for awhile. I am glad they are being cautious with Ruby's health, but it is so tough to think of her being so tiny and weak, especially when I can't be there for her. I feel like if I could hold her, feed her, and give her my undivided attention that I could somehow help her recover; instead I have to sit here in MI and that makes me feel pretty helpless.
We are not expecting to hear much in the next couple of days; we will keep praying and we trust that God is taking care of her.

Lifting you up in prayer!
Wow....Mrs. Tenhaken, even though I had you for a teacher this whole year I am still amazed by your faith!! It is so cool to watch how you are trusting God throughout all of this even when its obvious that you aren't very happy with some his timing.....just remember that you have TONS of people praying for you and your family.....especially for Ruby!
This must be unbearable. We are all praying!
praying every day for you and yours!

There is no doubt God is taking care of her. Make sure you are taking care of yourself too! You have an important job of incubating and that baby needs you too! Make sure you're enjoying your pregnancy--it is so fun!
Prayers to ALL of you
Oh I will pray for you and little Ruby!
