Pictures and the Neurologist

We met with our neurologist this morning and he sounded encouraged that Ruby was making some developmental progress. The seizures or spasms aren't gone, but we are hoping that by continuing the meds they will slow down even more. We are going to stay on the steroids at this dosage until Friday and if the seizures haven't stopped by then we will increase the dose. Then next week we have another EEG to monitor Ruby's progress. If the EEG shows no improvement we will talk about doing steroid shots, but for now we are going to stay with the oral steroids and the other seizure meds. Ruby has had a good couple of days. She has been sleeping pretty good and she seems stronger then she did a month ago. I hadn't seen a smile since Friday because she started her steroids on Saturday morning, but then last night I saw a smile again. Every time we give her new meds it seems to take a few days for her body to get used to it and then she comes out of her fog a little more. We are feeling okay about where we are at. Of course, we would love to have the seizures gone, but we are thankful that Ruby is tolerating the meds and is content. It is also fun to watch her make progress, even if it is very slow.

Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks:
