Charlie Pictures

Here are a few pictures of my Charlie man; he is growing up so fast! It is hard for me to believe he will be 18 months old in a little over a week. He is running (and falling) all over the place. He loves to play with his plastic golf clubs, his little people farm and his baby.  His vocabulary keeps growing, although I can't understand a lot of it :)  He loves life and is always on the move; what a blessing he has been to us!
Here is what he has been up to......

Charlie doesn't mind wearing hat; he often has one on to protect his bald head from the sun.

Charlie loves his sister; he likes to say her name and give her kisses (wet, slobbery ones)

Lately, Charlie has an obsession with stars. He picks them out everywhere and he especially likes it when he sees an American flag because of all the stars.  So, when he made a star necklace and a flag at daycare he was pretty excited. He waved that flag around and wore the necklace for days. He is looking pretty patriotic, don't you think?

We love going to the water fountain in downtown Holland. It comes right out of the ground so it is a great place for little kids to get wet.  We have met friends there on more than one occasion. Usually we eat a picnic lunch while Charlie runs around in the water. Then, we strip him down, change him and go on a walk with both the kids afterwards.  When we get home he is tired and ready for bed; it is a nice night out for us.

Look at that belly! It is hard to believe we were super worried about him not gaining weight when he was a baby. Now, he wants to eat all day long and it looks like he is packing on the pounds just fine.

Charlie has a thing about bibs; he loves to wear them. I think he believes if he puts a bib on then I will put him in his high chair and feed him again.  Often, he brings me a bib and says, "hunga!" (this means hungry--I promise I do feed him plenty:)  The other day I was doing laundry and of course there were piles of bibs.  He brought me 7 of them to put on him! Maybe he thought he would get a huge snack if he had 7 bibs on:)

He even likes wearing bibs if he doesn't have a shirt on; I think this is a handsome look :)
