Today marks 3 months of waiting for a referral from Ethiopia. It has been long at times, but God is good and as I look back I can see his faithfulness throughout this process. Here are a few ways God has blessed me this last few months:
1) I have a wonderful husband who has stood by my side and been my best friend through this whole process. He also keeps me laughing and helps me to keep things in perspective.
2) God has given me an incredible, loving and supportive family. Both sides of our family have been very encouraging through this process. It is so good to know our daughter will have great grandparents, aunt and uncles, and cousins.
3) God has surrounded me with solid and caring friends. Our close friends, both in MI, and in other parts of the country have been there for us again and again.
4) I have a fabulous job. I love working with my 8th graders every day and the staff at the school where I work has been like a second family for me. This keeps me busy and helps keep my mind off of adoption.
5) I was blessed to have 5 snow days this winter! 5 free days off was pretty nice :)
6) In the past couple of months we have enjoyed 2 free weekend trips, thanks to Mark's work.
7) I have enjoyed spending some time with my niece that lives close; she helps me deal with my baby cravings :)
8) I have a sleeping dog curled up next to me right now :)
God is good and faithful. We look forward to seeing what He will do in the next 3 months. Thank you all for your support!

Wow, three months already! It seems like the patience with waiting changes frequently... sometimes you look back and realize that time has flown, and other times you get stuck in the moment and wonder how much longer it could possibly take. I pray that you guys get your referral this summer if not sooner!
Wow! It is really hard to believe that three months have gone by so quickly! Sadly, the rest of the school year will probably go just as fast. I don't want the school year to be done already though....it feels like I just started 8th grade yesterday!
I am really praying for you guys with your adoption, that God will give you a referral soon!

It is amazing to me how time can go fast and slow at the same time it seems. It is amazing to see all of the blessings, isn't it?
God is faithful that is for sure! It is cool to take time and reflect on all the blessings God has given us! Love ya!
I love your positive outlook on things, that's really refreshing.
