We had such a great celebration this morning at church to remember Christ's resurrection. Mark and I were blessed to be part of the praise choir that led some of the music. Preparing for a service like that by practicing the music makes the service so much more meaningful for me. Afterwards we ate a feast of ham and cheesy potatoes at my parent's house.
Yesterday my 8th graders did great with their dress rehearsal! We ran out of time so we didn't get through the whole play, but what we did practice went really well. Hopefully we can run through the play Monday and Tuesday after school before we perform part of the play for the school Wednesday afternoon and then the whole thing on Thursday and Friday night. It will be a very bittersweet weekend for me. I love these students and working with them these last couple of months on this play has been great. I am ready for a break because I am exhausted from the extra hours, but this will be the last play I direct for awhile because I won't be teaching full time next year. Because of this, Friday night could be kind of hard for me. We'll see how it goes and hopefully I can keep the tears it :)
Happy Easter! I hope you all are enjoying good days with your families!

Glad the dress rehearsal went well; I am sure that the coming weekend will be bittersweet for you! What time is the play on Saturday night? Ellie and I are going to be in GR again and maybe I could swing it! Are tickets available at the door?
I am going to miss you so much next year!! This year has gone by way too fast for me...I don't want it to end! The play is going to be awesome, and I can't wait to see it all the way finished! By the way, I am going to be there on both of the nights, so I can help with anything if you need me to...see you tomorrow!
