We are still on vacation, but I just wanted to post a quick link because Mark had a crazy experience yesterday on Lake MI. He was fishing on the big Lake with his brothers, dad and a friend when all of a sudden the boat took on a bunch of water and within about 20 seconds the boat went down and they had to bail. They were a couple miles from shore and in about 108 feet of water. It was a crazy scary several minutes as they stripped off bulky clothes and grabbed three life jackets that floated to the top. They also swam to to grab the emergency kit that had flares and a emergency flag in it. They were able to swim back to the tip of the boat which was flipped over but not yet under water. They hung on to the boat for 2 hours until a sailboat finally saw the flag they were holding up in the air on the end of a fishing rod. This is after they had shot off 2 flares and blown whistles off and on for 2 hours. We learned later that the boat had a mechanical problem and that is why it was taking on water without pumping it out.
Thankfully, everyone is okay and the coast guard took good care of them after they were rescued. They were all very sore, tired, cold and scared, but we are praising God that it wasn't worse.
Here is a link to the coast guard's video of the boat. My computer is not letting my link things right now so you will have to copy and past this address in your browser:

Oh my gosh...I just checked out the video...they were in the middle of no where!!! So thankful that everything turned out OK and that they are all safe and sound. What an incredible gift from God that they are all doing fine...what a good story to tell Ruby some day!
OMGoodness, I saw that on the news last night, and I was telling Dino about last night. CRAZY!! I am happy to hear everyone is alright.
Stay safe!

WOW!!! I'm so glad everyone was okay. I can't imagine how scary that must have been.
Oh my goodness, Kelli. I am so glad that Mark and everyone else were ok. How scary!
I am so glad to hear that everyone was okay. You always think that stuff like that would never happen to you. Praise God for bringing everyone through it safely.
I had watched this on the news and was amazed at the pictures on the web site, I even showed the family it and now I read it was your family!!!! We are so happy that everything turned out good. Amber shed tears of joy when I told her the story. Praise God!
Glad everyone is safe! Thank the Lord!
Thank goodness everyone was okay and that they were only 2 miles off shore instead of more than that where it would have been way less likely for anyone to see them! We've been 6 miles off shore before in our sailboat and it's insane how alone you feel out there...marvelous when you're safe but it would be very scary if your boat sank!
Belinda told me the story, I can not believe it, Scary stuff! Glad Mark and family are o.k.
