I finished another 2 day long class at GVSU today. I have 17 of the 18 graduate credits that I need to get the next step in my teaching license. When I finish the 18 credits at the end of July, then my teaching license will be in a spot where I can easily renew it. It will be nice to have those credits behind me; especially before I have Ruby home and have her to concentrate on :)
Yesterday I turned in some paperwork for Ruby's visa. We are waiting to hear about our embassy date, although I am not expecting to hear for another week or two. Once we have that date then we will know when to travel because we have to be in Ethiopia for that appointment. Another family that we know of just received their emabassy date and it was a month after their successful court date. If that happens with us then we will be traveling in 3-4 weeks! Wow, that gets me excited.
I am finishing curtains for Ruby's room. Other than that I have to buy an organizer for her closet so I can get the clothes that we have put away and then the room is pretty much ready to go. My parents gave us their rocking chair on Monday; that was a great addition to the room. I will post pictures of the room when I finish it.
Thanks again for all of your prayers! God is good and it is neat to watch how He continues to work this out; He will bring our family of three together soon.

It sounds like you are really tying up loose ends before Ruby comes home.. the timing is great! I bet it will feel so good to be done with those 18 credits! I can't wait to see a picture of Ruby's room. We are getting there with Bereket's!
Hey Mark and Kelli, I have been really bad with keeping up to date on things, but wanted to say Congratulations on Ruby! We are very happy for you and hope that everything goes well and that you can go pick her up soon!
We also heard about Marks's incident on Lake Michigan....we're glad you're all ok! Anyway, we will keep you guys in our prayers and you wait to get your daughter! Congratulations again!
