We are heading to Minnesota tonight to visit Mark's family. I am very excited to see everyone, but I am a little worried about 12 hours in a car with a 1 and 2 year old. We are traveling through the night so hopefully they will sleep the whole way and it will be a breeze...we will see :) Once we get there we will be spending some quality time with his family and then the fundraiser for Ruby is on Saturday morning. I think the plan is to head back to MI Sunday night, but we will see how things go.
A quick Ruby update...it looks like ABR is slowly making her stronger. Yesterday, for the first time ever, it seemed that she was attempting to roll over. Really, she just lifted one shoulder and reached her arm across her body, but she has never even tried this before, so we are excited to see her have a desire to move. Pray hard that she will be able to roll over soon; that kind of progress would be such an encouragement!
She is still having 25-30 seizures a day (my best guess because I decided not to count anymore) but we are seeing some positive signs that neurofeedback is working. Her brainwaves on the program are slowly calming so we hope to see things trend in that direction. When they are calmer on the computer program, then we notice that she is calmer and having less seizures, so we are hoping if neurofeedback continues to lower the frequency of her theta brainwaves then the seizures will decrease as well.
Thanks for your continued prayers; we have rough days, but we keep feeling God's peace and joy...He is faithful! I will post with updates about the weekend soon.
