The trip to MN went great. We got back at around 4am this morning, so we are plenty tired. Hopefully a good nights sleep tonight will whip us both back into shape. The kids traveled pretty well; they both only had one melt down per trip, so that is not too bad :)
Here is a little run down of our weekend....
Thursday and Friday we spent time with Mark's family. Unfortunately it rained a lot of the time, so we didn't get a ton of time on the lake, but the guys still did enjoy a round of golf and the kids got to go tubing for a little while. We ate Pizza Ranch buffet Thursday night (SO GOOD!) and Mark's mom grilled delicious pork chops Friday night. It was fun to eat well and not have to cook :) Charlie has two boy cousins that were born within five months of him, so we were often entertained by the three little boys interacting with each other. Friday night we took all the kids swimming; my kids LOVE the water and they slept great Friday night after kicking and splashing so hard.
Saturday morning was the fundraiser for Ruby. It went so well and we were very humbled to see all the people that were there to support Ruby. Over $7,000 was raised for her medical care!!! We were blessed to again see how God takes care of us. Between the MN and MI fundraisers, we now have the money to pay for her current expenses for the next year! What a blessing to know we can give Ruby what she needs and not have to limit her therapy or treatment because of finances. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of you who have supported us with prayer, encouragement and financial donations. God has used you to bless us and to provide for Ruby. We are so thankful!
Sunday morning we went to church with Mark's parents and then hung out at their house until about 4pm when we headed for home. All in all, it was a great weekend. Thanks Dad and Mom TenHaken for all your work and for always being such gracious hosts to us. I do have pictures, but I am too tired to post them now...hopefully soon :)
