The surgery went smoothly and the doctors got the g-tube in without problems. Ruby had a hard time calming down while she was coming out of the anesthia. She wailed and wailed; finally after a lot of morphine she did calm for awhile. She seemed okay until after supper when the meds must have worn off a little and she screamed again for over an hour. That hurt my heart; it is tough to watch your child be in pain! The nurses came to the rescue with a couple doses of morphine and sleeping supplements. I left the hospital around 8:30pm and she was calm and starting to shut her eyes.
I am glad the surgery is behind us. Thanks for your prayers! Although we are tired, we felt at peace most of the day. Please pray for good sleep for Mark and Ruby at the hospital and for a quick recovery with less pain tomorrow. Thanks for your support!
