3 Months Old and EEG

I didn't get around to posting this before, but Charlie was three months old yesterday! He weighs 10 lbs 5 oz and he is 23 inches tall. He continues to grow like crazy; he has gained 3 lbs since his surgery which was about a month ago. He still is a happy, smiling baby and he is sleeping through the night!! We feel very blessed to have him our lives.

Ruby is still seizure free and she had her EEG this morning. I am waiting to hear the results from the doctor, but if the EEG looks good, then we can start the steroid weaning process. The doctor will wean her very cautiously so the seizures don't come back so we could be doing shots yet for another 4-6 weeks. I am praying the EEG looks good!

She is quite moody on these steroids, but when she is happy she is babbling more and smiling a lot. She also has been more interested in having her fingers in her mouth which is a new development. We continue to work on upper body strength a lot. Hopefully she will be able to confidently hold her head up soon!

Ruby with her fingers in her mouth... you can tell the steroids have made her checks puffy in the second picture.

So excited that she is seizure free! I can't imagine the relief you guys feel. And tell Ruby, don't worry about the puffy cheeks, sweetheart. You are still the most adorable kid I have ever seen, and I have some cute kids!! :) Kelli, is there anything you need or can think of that would be helpful for your family? Email me!
