Yeah God!!

Ruby's EEG was clear of seizures! The neuro said he saw absolutely none of the spasm pattern that he has seen for the past 7 months. Yeah!! We are doing a dance over here!! This means we will start to wean her off the steroids tomorrow; I am so looking forward to slowly getting my happy baby back (especially if she sleeps at night :) We will still be giving her shots for the next 6 weeks but we will continue to decrease the dosage every week so the symptoms should lessen as the weeks pass. We will keep doing bloodwork and EEGs every 2 weeks until the wean is done just to make sure we aren't missing anything.

Charlie had a good report with the surgeon today too. The doctor said Charlie's body is just reacting to a stitch that hasn't dissolved properly. We just have to give the body time to expel the stitch and this might take another month. In the meantime we can stop the antibiotic and just watch his incision to make sure it doesn't look worse. Other than that it should clear up itself.

I am not used to going to the doctor to get good news, so this has been a very hopeful day! Thanks again for all your prayers. Praise God for His faithfulness and for this answer to prayer.

I have had the lyrics to this Chris Tomlin song in my head for the past several weeks so I thought I would share them:

There is an endless song
Echoes in my soul
I hear the music ring

And though the storms my come
I am holding on
To the Rock I cling

How can I keep from singing your praise
How can I ever say enough, how amazing is your love
How can I keep from shouting your name
I know I am loved, by the King
and it makes my heart want to sing

Our daughter has Infantile Spasms and we were in remission...and we will be again in His timing. Praise the Lord for your precious Ruby! I was doing research on a drug we are trying and came across your blog and found joy in your faith and good news!

Praising Him in the storm takes faith!
