When I think of the many things I am thankful for, you all are on my list. The support we have received for this adoption has been incredible. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Thanks also to those I haven't met but who I have connected with through this blog because of adoption; God has made us brothers and sisters in Him and through this journey we share together.
Yesterday, in church, we had an amazing celebration where I remembered to say "Wow, God!" more often for all the big and small things He does in my life. This adoption process has definately been a "Wow, God!" for Mark and I. We have seen His hand every step of the way and this journey has brought us closer as a couple. Mark even stood up at church yesterday and with tears in his eye thanked God for our future daughter from Ethiopia. I love that man so much and it is so amazing to see God work through him.
Through this process I have been writing in a journal for our daughter so she can know what this process was like for how and so she will realize how incredibly much we love her already. This morning I wrote in it and read a verse from Ps. 5 that hit home for me. I felt I could really relate to the Psalmist when he writes:
"In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation."
Then 2 Peter 3 says:
" With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. Lord is not slow in keeping His promises."
I was again assured that we were in God's hand and the timing of this is in His hands.
Thanks for your support! Have a blessed Thanksgiving weekend!
